 Make this versatile fruit sauce to complement meats or desserts.
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups (6-ounces) fresh or frozen unsweetened cranberries
3/4 cup Sun-Maid Jumbo Raisins
1/3 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar (depending on preference for sweetness)
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger, lemon or orange zest
1-1/2 cups water
Directions: In a medium saucepan, COMBINE cranberries, raisins, sugar and choice of ginger, lemon or orange, or combination. ADD water. BRING to a simmer over medium heat. SIMMER over low heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until some of the cranberries burst and the liquid is reduced. POUR into a bowl to cool. SERVE warm with meats and poultry, or cold over ice cream or cake.
