 Low-Fat Date Shake
Ingredients
1/2 cup Sun-Maid Chopped Dates
1/2 banana
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1/2 cup ice cubes
Directions: COMBINE dates, banana and orange juice in a blender. Whirl until dates are nearly smooth, about 2 minutes. ADD yogurt and ice cubes. Blend until thick and creamy. Serve immediately.
Makes 2, 3/4-cup servings.
Iced Date Cafe Au Lait

1 cup cold strong coffee
2 to 3 ice cubes

Directions: COMBINE coffee and dates in a blender. Whirl until dates are nearly smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. ADD half and half or milk and ice. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Ingredients
2 spiced chai tea bags
1/2 cup Sun-Maid Chopped Dates
2/3 cup Milk
2 to 3 ice cubes

Directions: STEEP tea bags in 1-1/4 cups boiling water to make a strong brew. Add dates. Refrigerate until cold. WHIRL cold tea and dates in a blender until dates are nearly smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. ADD milk and ice. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
Variation: substitute 1 cup vanilla ice cream for milk and ice cubes.
